Avicenna Medical College Lahore
The Avicenna Medical College and Avicenna Hospital are ultimately located at Bedian Road, Phase IX D. H. A, Lahore. The Avicenna Medical College will also have the support of a ISO licensed Aadil Hospital (150 beds) which would act as educating hospital. The new campus of Avicena Medical College and Avicenna Hospital is situated at 15 minutes drive from Defence Phase V. The Campus consists of Medical College building, Hospital (450 beds) Separate hostel facility for both girls and boys is obtainable within the College Campus. The hostel includes lots of twins as well as domitory. Currently there is sufficient space for all entrants to come till Oct 2012.
Such as in all other Colleges, Avicenna Medical College has a number of Sections in the Basic Sciences and the Clinical Education. The following departments exist in nthe Basic Sciences:

- Dept of Medicine
- Dept of Paediatrics
- Dept of Opthalmology
- Dept of Ear-Nose-Throat
All the departments are sorted as per the standards laid out by the PM&DC and the UHS. All depts are well outfitted as per the specifications given by PM&DC.
Admissions to the MBBS Program shall be stringently made on merit under the recommendations laid down by PMDC, UHS and MOH. Students from all Provinces of Pakistan, Foreigners and Overseas Pakistanis may apply matching to their category:
* Regional Students (born, raised and educated in Pakistan)
* Foreign Pakistani Students (Expatriate Pakistanis). They should have achieved their skills from abroad. e. g Pakistani students who get comparable or FSc qualification from abroad.
* International Students (Holder of Foreign passport / Green Card etc)
Avicenna Medical College is recognised by the PM&DC and is affiliated with the UHS. All admission criteria are particular by these two organizations.
The existing rules requirement that the candidate should have 60% marks in the FSc or equivalent examination. Also that the Applicant should have seemed in the UHS Entry Test or should have experienced in the respective Provincial Entry Test as per the PMDC regulations(Entry Test of one Province applicable in other Provinces).
Abroad Pakistani Applicants and Foreign Student have a choice in whether they want to appear in the UHS Entry Test or avail the SAT II score of 550 marks as a substitute to the UHS entry test. It is imperative that the Student should have acquired the FSc/equivalent from Overseas to be in the Overseas Category. Overseas Pakistanis and Foreign Students can avail the opportunity of showing up in the SAT II(SAT Subjects Test) in Sep and Oct to attain the requisite qualification.
