11. The Dog and His Shadow
One day, a dog found a piece of meat. He took the piece of meat in his mouth and ran away. He wanted to eat it alone in a quiet place.
While crossing a bridge, the dog looked down into the water. He saw his own shadow in the water. But he thought that it was another dog with a piece of meat in its mouth.
The greedy dog wanted to get that piece of meat too. So, he barked at the other dog. As soon as he opened his mouth, his own piece of meat fell into the water.
The dog lost his own piece of meat because of his greed. He felt very sorry for his foolishness.
Moral: Greed brings sorrow.
